All the crap he is putting up with and doing well.
Great displays against Arsenal and Wolves.
Good end to last season to keep us up.

Pickle Rick - how the fuck could you possibly know we've benifitted from no crowds. Of course you don't know that..

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
To break into the top four next season looks highly improbable because I think that the two Mancs clubs along with Chelsea and Liverpool will be squabbling with their own personal battle.

However we are among the group below which also includes Leicester, Everton, Spurs and Arsenal. It’s game on and depending on squad strengthening and augmentation we should finish anywhere between fifth and ninth.

My top ten for next season should be completed by Leeds.

I bet Sheff Utd fans said that last season, one season later and they're going to be playing Championship football. We have benefitted from no crowds, real test is when the crowds are back whether we can maintain prem results and progress in the Europa instead of crashing out to part time Romanian plumbers and electricians that we have done on the two previous occasions we've been in Europa.

I see we have dropped out of Europe’s top 20 enterprise value league.

Moyes out.

Just realised bit slow I know.

That the lanzini goal meant we ended up above Spurs after all.

If he repeats this season's improvement on last season, we'd be in wonderland.

He won't, of course, because he won't get the backing from the owners.

However, if he merely repeats this season, I shall be impressed. Even if it comes at the price of mediocrity in Europe.

This time last year, nobody would have believed we could have finished 6th place - and everyone would have grabbed that spot with both hands. An incredible season of excellent performances, unity and positivity. Well done Moyes, hope you stay for a long time.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
I can understand some of the frustrations with Moyes but if you put things in perspective and compare him to say Ancelotti at Everton Moyes has done a fantastic job., Everton spent quite a bit more than we did and 10th place with that spend and with that manager I could imagine the Everton fans won't be happy. Sure I think in some of the games things could have gone better but when you consider finishing position, player recruitment, staff recruitment and team spirit Moyes has done extremely well. Hopefully we can move forward but I do have major concerns about keeping our best players.

Aoi 6,16 except that if we had not doubled Leicester they would have finished top four.

And both times we beat Leicester they were in the top four.

85 million pounds plus everything Moyes get´s from sales suggests otherwise mate

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
Got to admit that I wasn’t his greatest fan first time, and rolled my eye when appointed this time, but not sure what’s happened this season, could be lack of crowds but as said before, nobody’s had crowds. Could be that we’re used to a shit disconnected atmosphere more than any of the others.

My jury’s out until he can get us to actually start the game from the kick off and not ten minutes after.

Pleased for all the team and coaches to have done so well this season, but, bit greedy, room for a lot of improvement.

They won’t back him on their short term plan unfortunately.

If he does this next season then I might start cutting him some slack and forgive him for the points he threw away this season. Until then he can still fuck right off.

Now that even his detractors have to admit what a great job Moyes has done since his return, I just want to voice a concern I have.

Out of the eight games against the top four we haven't managed to win any of them and only got one point out of twentyfour. Probably one of the worst records in the league.

I think Moyes does have to take the blame for this to a certain extent because in some of those games he appeared to be much too cautious and handed the initiative to the opposition. I think Liverpool at home was a good case in point where they had been having a poor run of form but we started on the back foot and allowed them to control much of the game. in fact it was that game that kick started their strong finish to the season.

So I just hope that he gets rid of what looks like a bit of an inferiority complext he seems to have with the current top four and starts to take the game to them more next season.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
I'll give him credit on this season easily but I won't give him my undoubted respect until this season is on a regular & progressive basis. To do this he will have to get those two shysters to back him 100% in transfer windows AND do something no other West Ham manager has managed to do in my lifetime and one of those is a legend to me.

I'm sure he'll understand and even better I'm sure he won't take any credit until something proper has been achieved over a number of years like he did at Everton (but better).
